Edgar Cooper
Cat food delivery tracking
Edgar Cooper is a new pet food delivery brand, they offer online shopping and delivery service, however recently their clients have been complaining that they can’t never know or plan when their cat food order will arrive, this is why we are focusing on designing a tracking feature flow for on their website.

I designed, plan, and conducted the user research, I ideated the solutions, wireframed, prototyping, and iterated on the design based on the insights from the research.
User Research
A primary user group identified through research was young cat owners, single or parents of young families that are busy, so they order their cat food online, but struggle to track and schedule the delivery of the food.
This user group confirmed the need of being able to not only track their cat food order but change and schedule delivery date/time so they can make sure to receive the order without delaying the process.
Design
Designing an intuitive flow to track the delivery status was the first priority, some ideas from the ideation stage included adding options for editing the date, address, and time of the delivery from the web site.
The goal was a clean screen so the user can find quickly a dedicated bottom for tracking the order.

Usability studies
I conducted two rounds of usability studies. The first was on the low Fidelity prototype, with the goal to evaluate the delivery tracking flow.
The second one on the High Fidelity prototype, after iterating on the design based on the insights from the initial findings:
Round 1 findings:
-
Users found useful the direct bottom to track orders.
-
Some users are confused about the icon of the tracking bottom.
-
Users find it easy to edit and schedule delivery details.
Round 2 findings:
-
Users mentioned they wanted to be able to see previous status details.
-
Users expressed the schedule and address edit was fast and intuitive.
